Out From Behind the Firewall: Towards Better Library IT Communications

ITS works collaboratively with internal and external clients to bring a wide range of exciting digital projects and services to life, including the provision of traditional IT services, library-specific technology development and support, and web development projects. Often, resources for promotion in IT departments are unavailable or not prioritized and excellent products and services often go unnoticed. This article looks at a working model of IT communications for libraries aimed at increasing usage and feedback, including best practices of processes and methodologies that can be replicated in library IT departments of any size.
