The 2015 OLA Super Conference program has just been released, and three members of our team will be speaking about their work on departmental projects.
Lisa Gayhart and Gordon Belray will deliver a talk entitled, "Harnessing the Power of User Research for Website Redesign Projects." The talk relates to their work on the University of Toronto Libraries website redesign project. They will address topics such as the UTL's user research process, integrating user-focused tactics into website redesign workflows, and creating actionable recommendations for your team out of the vast amount of knowledge your users have to offer.
In partnership with librarians from Scholars Portal, Queen's University, and Western University, Marc Lalonde will deliver a talk entitled, "Adding E-Resources License Information to Library Systems." The talk will focus on how librarians can clarify users' rights of access to e-resources under the librarians' licensing agreements.
Kathleen Sinnott, with UTL Engineering Librarian Angela Henshilwood, will speak about elearning and information literacy in a talk entitled, "Mind the Gap:An Engineering Library's eLearning Experience." The talk will discuss the library's production and piloting of an online information literacy tutorial geared towards first-year engineering students.
The 2015 OLA Super Conference will take place from January 28-30, 2015.
Congratulations to Lisa, Gordon, Marc, and Kathleen. We look forward to hearing more about your work at the 2015 OLA Super Conference!
