Leslie Barnes has joined Information Technology Services in the new role of Digital Scholarship Librarian. Leslie holds a BA and MA in English from the University of Toronto, a PhD in English from New York University, and a MS in Library Science from University of North Carolina Chapel Hill.
Leslie’s most recent work at UNC Chapel Hill has focused the on innovative presentation of digital scholarship using sustainable tools, and streamlining the workflows that make digital scholarship accessible. Her scholarly work has, in turn, provided first-hand experience in scholarly communication trends and digital research methods. In her new role at the University of Toronto Libraries, she will supporting new digital scholarship by connecting faculty and students to the digital content held by and created at the University of Toronto, using sustainable and scalable digital research tools, methods and frameworks. She will also work on the metadata standards that support the discovery, use, and curation of our local digital resources.
